The major in management provides business and organizational skill sets to apply to the process of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively. Management encompasses the deployment and coordination of resources: human, financial, technological and natural. Management requires an ethical commitment, a firm grasp of stakeholder needs, strong people skills and a healthy work/personal life balance. Management majors can also pursue specialty areas of focus such as logistics, supply chain, sales, banking, retail, real estate, event planning, public relations, music, project management, sports management, information systems and many more by adding a specialty minor to the major.

In addition to the skill sets provided above to all management majors, those taking the entrepreneurship concentration learn the skills and mindset needed to effectively create, and manage their business.
