Learn to analyze, design, and safeguard computer-based systems—one of the most vital infrastructures of any organization now and into the future.

The Computer Science, B.S. with a concentration in Network Security allows you to focus on network infrastructure and network security aspects, preparing you to handle IT security infrastructure challenges for businesses around the world.

Students will study a variety of topics such as defense-in-depth, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography, and virtual private networks. They'll also complete a substantial project that demonstrates the full extent of their technical skills and knowledge, in addition to its economic, societal, and ethical impact.

Students will have the opportunity to work on funded research projects for the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, among others alongside faculty at New York Tech’s Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC). Many students publish their work in recognized journals as part of the Undergraduate Research & Entrepreneurial Program (UREP).
