文学硕士 - 成瘾咨询

专业介绍

The Master of Arts in Addictions Counseling is a transformative journey that sets you apart in the competitive landscape of addiction counseling programs. Our program is uniquely designed to empower students not only in therapeutic practices but also in the environment of social advocacy for enhanced treatment and facilities.

In the dynamic field of addictions counseling, staying up to date on the constantly changing standards of best practices, legal intricacies and political changes is crucial. Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on these areas, ensuring that our graduates are not only proficient therapists but also effective leaders capable of navigating the complex landscape of addiction treatment.

Recognizing the importance of well-prepared professionals, in 2004 the Oklahoma state legislature established specific requirements for licensed alcohol and drug counselors (LADC). The law mandates a master's degree in alcohol and substance abuse counseling or a master's degree in a behavioral science or counseling-related field that is "content-equivalent" to a graduate degree in alcohol and substance abuse counseling.
