In the chemistry major with a concentration in chemical technology, students will master advanced lab techniques and pursue work in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and related industries.
In the chemical technology concentration, students will take a closer look at the techniques needed to study chemical substances and develop new materials.
Courses in spectroscopy and bioanalytical techniques will teach about the structure of molecules, while classes such as polymer science will show how to synthesize various materials. Students will begin their studies with core courses in science and math and will also engage in hands-on research and work one-on-one with recognized experts.
