A degree in psychology is one of the most popular credentials for students today because of its flexibility. Their BA can lead to many career options, including education, health and social services, as well as graduate studies in psychology.

Courses focus on areas of psychology theory and research. These include classes in biological psychology, social, cultural, and personality differences, cognition, human development, mental health and well-being and applied psychology. Some new courses include Indigenous Psychology, Community Psychology and Drugs and Behavior.

Students will gain skills in research, data analysis, critical thinking, effective writing and presentations. They will also boost their soft skills, learning how people think, feel, learn, and develop.

As students complete their degree, they can take part in work-integrated learning opportunities. These include work practicums, which help ensure students have experience when they graduate.

For students who are searching for a career that builds communities and brings people together, this four-year degree is the place to start.
