The PhD in Business Economics offers a structured research pathway for those seeking to investigate and address complex questions at the intersection of economics, business, and policy. From the outset, the programme offers access to taught components and research development activities that strengthen both theoretical understanding and applied analysis. The PhD in Business Economics is 3 years full-time with an additional year at the end to allow students to complete the writing up of their thesis.

To be awarded a PhD, students will submit a written thesis, which will be examined by at least one internal and one external examiner in the viva voce oral examination.
