Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In your International Foundation Year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

In the International Foundation Year in Sciences & Engineering, you will explore and begin to understand the power of engineering and science in the real world. While you begin to learn the technical aspects of your desired degree program you will also be provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.

If you want to gain a broad understanding of physics while exploring astrophysics, this course is for you.

You’ll learn from experts working at the forefront of astrophysics, from exploring dark energy to the early universe. You study modules based on the latest research, from quantum mechanics to particle physics. You have opportunities to work alongside our world-leading faculty on ground-breaking discoveries. This is through your final year project and various research placement opportunities.
