Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In your International Foundation Year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

In the International Foundation Year in Sciences & Engineering, you will explore and begin to understand the power of engineering and science in the real world. While you begin to learn the technical aspects of your desired degree program you will also be provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.

You will learn from world-leading experts in the Sussex Neuroscience research programme. We represent over 50 research groups working on the central nervous system. Our specialisms include the neurobiology of neurodegenerative disease, motor control and sensory systems, among others.

You can choose from a range of modules based on our latest research, which ranges from studying molecules to humans.

To support your career development, you will also study research methods and computation.
