The University of Manitoba’s Bachelor of Nursing (BN) program offers a comprehensive foundation in nursing knowledge, practical clinical experience, and essential skills for a rewarding and diverse career in nursing. This program is available in Winnipeg, as well as in The Pas and Thompson, through a collaborative partnership with the University College of the North. Featuring internationally recognized faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, the full-time Bachelor of Nursing program provides a robust grounding in nursing theory and hands-on clinical practice, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.

The program duration is approximately 28 months, in addition to a qualifying year. Following an initial year of undergraduate studies—where students may select electives to meet the prerequisites for the Bachelor of Nursing—the 28-month program equips students with the comprehensive knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the nursing profession. This structure ensures students establish a solid foundation before advancing into specialized nursing courses, which are available exclusively to admitted students.
