Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In your International Foundation Year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Business, Media and Social Sciences will familiarize you with a wide area of study for your intended degree. You will develop your critical thinking skills, creativity, analytical and team working skills, providing you with the most crucial skills required as a successful graduate.

Explore the links between the media, culture and society, and develop the skills to analyse cultural products such as the mass media.

You can choose from a range of modules to suit your interests – from identity to globalisation and culture – and to support your career development, you will benefit from opportunities to work on research projects.
