This pathway prepares international students for the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree. Students develop foundational knowledge in computing and engineering while strengthening mathematics, problem-solving, research, communication, critical thinking and independent learning. The programme supports adaptation to UK higher education and prepares students for undergraduate engineering study. Successful completion enables progression to explore mechanical systems, engineering design, manufacturing, materials, mechanics and technology. This pathway is suitable for students interested in how machines and engineering systems are designed and developed and seeking future opportunities in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, automotive, energy, design, production and related technical industries.
