This International Foundation Year provides international students with preparation for the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree. Students develop foundational engineering knowledge while strengthening mathematics, research, academic writing, communication, critical thinking and independent learning. The programme helps students adapt to UK university teaching and assessment methods. Successful completion enables progression to undergraduate Mechanical Engineering, where students can explore engineering design, mechanics, materials, manufacturing, mechanical systems and industrial technologies.
