专业介绍

The Master of Arts in Islamic Studies program aims to develop individuals' knowledge and understanding of Islam as a religion, as well as the history, thought, and culture of Muslims worldwide. It provides an opportunity to explore Islam's rich intellectual heritage and offers comprehensive courses in various areas, including Islamic literature and poetry, the Qur'an, Sufism, and Islam in the contemporary world, encompassing Islamic movements and political Islam.

In the first year, students will learn Arabic, and they also have the option to study Persian or Turkish. Language learning can be continued in the second year if desired.

The program offers great flexibility, allowing students to select option courses from a diverse range of disciplines and specialize as they progress through their honors years.
