Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Archaeology with Foundation Year (V402)

专业介绍

A foundation year helps students develop the study skills and self-confidence needed for higher education when they do not meet the entry requirements for their chosen subject.

Students can discover their past and what it truly means to be human with an Archaeology degree from Canterbury Christ Church University. With its rich heritage, Canterbury serves as the perfect destination to explore a passion for Archaeology.

Choosing an archaeology course taught next to a UNESCO World Heritage Site allows students to live among a thriving archaeological community. Many graduates move on to work with local heritage organizations, such as the Canterbury Archaeological Trust, making CCCU an ideal choice for studying archaeology.

The program encourages students to explore the subject using a varied and cross-disciplinary approach. It is both practical and academic, drawing upon methods from the humanities as well as the natural and social sciences. Students will also engage with broader sectors, including forensic science, heritage, and environmental conservation.

Moreover, students will have the option to undertake up to eight weeks of direct training on-site at The Culver Archaeological Project and the opportunity to study archaeology abroad, highlighting the diverse prospects offered by the degree.
