The BSc (Hons) in Business Economics course with Foundation Year covers a wide range of theoretical and analytical subjects, as well as methods for analyzing real-world corporate and economic challenges. Business and economic skills are interwoven, providing students with knowledge that will help them comprehend and critically assess business, finance, marketing, and accounting methods.

Modules are taught by trained academics and industry practitioners, with academic staff equipped with the information, expertise, and resources necessary to support student learning. The modules are designed to enhance employability skills, graduation qualities, teamwork, and leadership abilities. The university is one of the few in the UK offering direct access to Bloomberg data, information, and analytics in a dedicated trading room, which simulates the experience of working on a real trading floor in the financial district.

This course also offers the opportunity to include a professional placement year, allowing students to gain real-world experience in business. The university will assist students in finding suitable work placements, and they will receive tutorial support from an academic staff member throughout the year.

The foundation year is designed to broaden students' industry knowledge and facilitate progression to a related undergraduate degree. It aims to help them develop a strong foundation of business knowledge, alongside academic and transferable skills to ensure they get the most out of their degree-level studies.
