The one-year BA (Hons) top-up degree in Global Trade and Business is designed to develop students’ specialist knowledge of international trade, along with the businesses and organisations that participate in and regulate it at both regional and global levels.

With a strong emphasis on problem-solving and decision-making, the course equips students with a strategic perspective and the ability to understand the broader context of how international businesses plan, operate, and are held accountable—both internally and externally.

As part of the Global Trade and Business Project, students spend a semester conducting in-depth research on a topic of their choice, supported by individual supervision. To prepare for this, they take part in a series of structured seminars and workshops focused on developing essential skills in data collection, presentation, analysis, and interpretation.

An international work visit further enhances the learning experience by providing valuable insights into the decision-making processes within global business and commerce. This exposure helps students graduate with a global outlook and practical experience that is highly valued by employers.
