The 2-Semester Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Engineering and Physical Sciences is a one-year programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to Loughborough University. This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the university.

The International Foundation Programme is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The two semester programme lasts one academic year [nine months]. Each semester includes, on average, 13 teaching weeks, one reading week and one assessment week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately if they need additional support to develop their English language. They will be assessed at regular intervals throughout the programme to ensure they are making the progress required to successfully complete the programme. Full assessment of the programme will take place in the final semester. Assessment methodologies are aligned to those that will be experienced in the University environment, and include project work, essays, and presentations.

Integrated Masters - Master of Engineering (MEng) (Honours) - Chemical Engineering:

Chemical Engineering is a highly adaptable and versatile area of engineering, which applies the principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, and economics to transform energy and materials into useful and affordable products. It covers the research, design and operation of new and existing processes, to minimize environmental impacts, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and maximize profits and benefits to society. The Master of Engineering (MEng) (Honours) - Chemical Engineering teach students how to apply scientific and engineering principles to the design and analysis of chemical process equipment and flow sheets. Bench and pilot-scale laboratories, VR simulation, computer classes and project work help them to understand and apply taught principles to engineering problems, whilst also developing key laboratory, teamwork and Information Technology skills.
