The IS1 program is the equivalent of the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Participants will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee.

Students will study the IS1 across two or three terms, depending on their entry qualifications. After successful completion, they will progress directly to Year 2 of their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee.

Master of Arts (Honours) - Psychology with French

Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. Topics covered in the program include how babies learn, the ways in which people's mental skills change as they grow older, various personality types, and social group dynamics. Students will also study different psychological disorders.

Additionally, students will learn how to think critically and solve problems. The program teaches them to analyze data, write clearly and effectively, and communicate confidently within the field of science. They will also learn how to plan, implement, and analyze their own research projects.

At Levels 1 and 2, students will have the opportunity to study additional humanities or social science subjects, such as English, History, Geography, or Politics.

The student-run Psychology Society organizes social events, study skills sessions, and a variety of academic and career-oriented talks.

Students will also study one French module each semester throughout the program, either as beginners or at an intensive level if they have previously studied the language at Higher or A-Level.
