Program Description

Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol.

The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities.

The first two years are common to all degree courses. Students will study fundamental concepts in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry and applications in areas such as analytical, environmental, materials and theoretical chemistry.

Students will also develop their ability to design experiments and interpret results and gain key skills through chemistry-specific communications and mathematics units.

Alongside study in chemistry in the first and second years, students will study a foreign language. They will spend their third year at a university in Europe and will be taught and assessed in the language of the host university. Students currently have exchange links with universities in Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain.

The final year back in Bristol includes a 20-week research project in which students will work with an academic member of staff and their research team on a current challenge in chemistry.

Alumni have established careers with a wide range of employers, including Teach First, GlaxoSmithKline, Deloitte LLP and HM Revenue and Customs.
