The MEng (Hons) Civil Engineering at the University of West London is a four-year integrated course that focuses on how civil engineers shape infrastructure, the environment in which it operates and the health of the people who use it.

Students will gain a firm grounding across the breadth of civil engineering, with increasing specialisation in areas that impact both people and the environment as the course progresses.

Through practical applications, techniques and creative thinking, students will address built environment challenges and develop the ability to design and manage high-profile projects.

Students will take part in site visits to observe civil engineering in practice and will have access to specialist research and laboratory facilities, including soil, fluid, structural, hydraulic and computer laboratories.

As an integrated programme, the course combines undergraduate and postgraduate study, leading to both an Honours degree and a Masters qualification. It is professionally accredited and informed by leading industry consultants, businesses and expert academic staff.

The course is supported by an Industry Consultative Committee representing a range of civil engineering sectors, ensuring strong industry input into curriculum design, relevance and employability opportunities.
