This accredited course provides individuals with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience necessary to become work-ready medical engineers. Students will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of authentic engineering problems and industry-focused scenarios, both individually and in collaboration with student engineers from different disciplines. The group work aspect of the course mirrors the dynamics of an engineering team and aids in the development of essential professional skills, such as teamwork and communication. Additionally, our open access makerspace serves as a dedicated space for students to design, create, and collaborate.

Participants in this course will have the chance to engage with professionals from healthcare providers, including the Cardiff and Vale Orthopedic Centre, and will also benefit from connections with esteemed companies like Biomet, Simple ware, and Arthritis Research UK.

The MEng degree program offers the opportunity for individuals to further expand and strengthen their knowledge in the field of medical engineering. Students will gain advanced learning in design and management, as well as participate in multidisciplinary engineering design projects.
