6 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - Philosophy with Spanish

专业介绍

The International Stage One is equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

Philosophy explores existence using critical thinking and argument. If individuals find themselves pondering life’s big issues and questions, philosophy could be a suitable choice.

Specializing in continental (European) philosophy, the program teaches key texts from the European tradition, including some of the most exciting thinkers of the last century.

The program helps students examine how philosophy is relevant to real-world concerns and contemporary issues by:

• Exploring films and artwork
• Discussing important scientific and technological developments
• Debating controversial ethical issues
• Examining how texts written 300 years ago can be applicable to political situations today.
