12 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - History with Spanish

专业介绍

The International Stage One is the equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

Enhance Spanish language skills while also studying a wide range of history topics.

Social, cultural, and political history from the early modern period through to the modern day is taught, with a focus on the British Isles, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and India.

Students will use primary sources from the beginning of their studies, and analyze various kinds of historical evidence, including written and oral materials, maps, visual images, feature films, art, and music.

Students will consider how the use of sources and media representations inform reconstructions of the past. They will reflect critically on key debates in history, examining how they have developed over time and shaped understanding of the world. They will also learn how historians ‘make’ history and evaluate their roles in today’s public life, media, and the heritage industry.
