6 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - History and Politics

专业介绍

The International Stage One is equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

The combination of history and politics offers a wide range of modules to choose from.

Social, cultural, and political history are taught from the early modern period through to the present day, with a focus on the British Isles, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and India.

Students will use primary sources from the beginning of their studies and analyze various types of historical evidence, including written and oral materials, maps, visual images, feature films, art, and music.

They will consider how the use of sources and media representation informs reconstructions of the past. Students will reflect critically on key debates in history, examining how they have evolved over time and how they have influenced our understanding of the world.
