6 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - European Philosophy with French

专业介绍

The International Stage One is the equivalent to the first year of a four year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

Philosophy explores existence using critical thinking and argument. Individuals contemplating life’s big questions may find philosophy appealing.

Specializing in continental (European) philosophy, the program teaches key texts from the European tradition. In addition to Spanish modules, students are encouraged to study European-based modules from other subjects like history, international relations, politics, or geography.

European Philosophy with French program helps students understand the importance of philosophy in real-world concerns and contemporary issues by:

• Exploring films and artwork
• Discussing significant scientific and technological developments
• Debating controversial ethical issues
• Analyzing how texts from three hundred years ago can be relevant to current political situations

At Levels 1 and 2, students will receive a foundation in ancient and modern philosophy and be introduced to fundamental ideas regarding ethics, epistemology, and metaphysics.
