6 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - English with Spanish

专业介绍

The International Stage One is the equivalent to the first year of a four year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

Students will study Spanish alongside the history of English literature. They will start with a basic overview of the subject and move towards choosing modules to suit their own interests, ranging from the medieval period right up to the present day.

A range of modules give students the option to study anything from Shakespeare to science fiction, Romantic to contemporary poetry, or Victorian novels to Hollywood films. The University is also a world leader in comics studies and offers modules that consider the relationship between graphic novels and canonical literature.

English with Spanish program begins by covering topics such as how to analyze a poem and how to read a novel as a literary critic, moving on to historical surveys of literature. Students will then explore in more detail many of the periods, movements, and topics previously covered.

Students will also study one Spanish module per semester in each level, either as a beginner or at an intensive level if they have previously studied the language at Higher/A-Level.
