12 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - English and Creative Writing

专业介绍

The International Stage One is the equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

Students studying English and Creative Writing will learn various writing techniques, including fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, screenwriting, and writing for performance. They can also explore various forms of media, such as comics and video games. Students will examine the writer’s role and purpose in modern society and learn how to publish their writing professionally.

Throughout the program, students will develop the tools to take their ideas from the first concept to the final draft. A grounding in literary study will give students critical thinking and research skills. The English and Creative Writing degree will focus on writing in creative industries, preparing students for careers as writers or artists, in publishing, media, or cultural institutions. Graduates may also pursue teaching professions from primary to university level and beyond.
