12 Week Pre-Sessional English + International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - English

专业介绍

The International Stage One is equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

The English degree offers a comprehensive study of literature and the English language. Students will explore literary works from the 16th century to contemporary authors, gaining insight into the historical, cultural, and theoretical contexts of literature.

Covering major literary genres, students will explore classics like Shakespeare and Jane Austen, as well as modern writers like Toni Morrison. They will also study popular forms such as science fiction, fantasy, Gothic literature, comics, and video games.

The English degree program aims to enrich students’ understanding of literary culture and develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills.
