The Environmental Geography Master's course, students will have the opportunity to study how the Earth functions and gain an understanding of the scientific principles behind the impact of human activities on the planet throughout history. The course covers a wide range of environments worldwide, ranging from the extreme poles to tropical coral reefs, with a focus on examining the current and future challenges these environments face. Students will also acquire practical skills in geographical mapping, research, analysis, and problem-solving, utilizing the latest technologies.

The program takes advantage of its location by organizing regular day trips to Gower, the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, and the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. Additionally, there are opportunities for students to participate in overseas trips, with previous destinations including the Netherlands and Switzerland.

This Master's degree program extends to a fourth year, during which students will engage in an independent research project under the guidance of a distinguished scientist from the School and their research team. This experience will enable students to develop advanced research skills necessary for a successful career in academic research.
