The International Stage One is equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree. Studied across three terms, students will continue straight onto Year two of the degree course at the University once they have successfully completed the International Stage One.

Business Economics focuses on economic concepts, theories, and principles. Students will learn how these are applied to various business activities inside businesses or organizations and across the wider business world.

A strong understanding of the role of marketing in today’s multi-channel environment and how marketing fits into a wider organizational context will be developed.

In order to become an effective marketer, and be able to allocate resources and tap into growth opportunities, students need to understand all economic factors relating to target markets, particularly around emerging markets.

In Geography, students study both social and physical sciences to analyze and understand major challenges facing the world. Creative skills in problem-solving, presentation, and communication will be developed.

Flexible Geography degrees allow students to specialize in human geography or physical geography, or to combine elements of both. In addition, students can study other social science or humanities subjects.

Students will also have the opportunity to go on field trips and to work with partner organizations to help them solve problems that they are currently facing.
