Graduate with unique qualifications having been mentored by experts in forensic biology, this new degree gives them all the advantages of a degree in Forensic Science, something they won’t get through any other forensics program in Canada.

Analyzing blood or hair specimens at crime scenes; identifying illegal products from endangered species; and deciphering the cause of death of an individual based on human remains – just a few examples of the role forensic biologists play in the field of forensic science. Trent University’s Forensics Biology degree gives students all the advantages of hands-on forensic studies, while developing their expertise as a biological scientist. Students of the Forensic Biology degree program receive a comprehensive biology education that includes the study of life – from the level of molecules and cells to populations and communities – applying this knowledge practically as they practice case work and learn to work as a team in crime scenes and criminal investigations.
