The International Stage One is the equivalent to the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop students academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Students will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen University of Dundee undergraduate degree.

Students fieldwork will take place in both physical and social environments. We make use of Dundee city itself and other nearby locations and landscapes for local day trips. We also take them further afield into the Scottish Highlands or Iceland for week-long residential field trips.
