专业介绍

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Business, Management and Law will provide you with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in career fields such as finance, accounting, marketing and law. During your time in the Foundation Year, you will study core subjects, as well as optional subjects intentionally designed for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield.

On this joint honours course, we’ll give equal weight to both sociology and psychology. On the sociology side, you’ll study and analyse a range of social relationships, identities, and human experiences. From analysing relationships between men and women to the formulation of class and ethnic identities, through to examining social dynamics between the powerful and powerless in society – you’ll cover some fascinating topics.

Psychology examines similar issues, but from the viewpoint of the individual, focusing on their mental processes, structures, motivations and behaviours. By combining sociology and psychology, you’ll gain a well-rounded picture of human society, social interactions, and individual behaviour.
