3-Term Pathway - International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - Stage One - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Neuroscience with a year in industry

专业介绍

The IS1 program is the equivalent of the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This program is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within their subject area. Participants will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee.

Students will study the IS1 across two or three terms, depending on their entry qualifications. After successful completion, they will progress directly to Year 2 of their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Neuroscience with a year in industry

The neuroscience degree explores behavioral neuroscience, including neurodegenerative diseases. It examines the pharmacology of neuroscience, focusing on anesthesia and analgesia, as well as the drugs that control consciousness and the perception of pain.

This program provides students with an understanding of how biomedical innovations are explored and developed, from the initial concept to their application.

Students will learn key theories, spanning from the molecular level to complete body systems, to grasp the field as a whole.

In the first two years, students will cover core topics including genetics, cell biology, biological organization, and molecular mechanisms and processes.

They will develop practical skills, including laboratory techniques, data analysis, and the design and execution of experiments, which will prepare them for carrying out projects later in the course.

Students have the option to select modules that interest them and may also transfer to a different life sciences degree if they choose the relevant modules.
