The International Year Zero in Health and Life Sciences provides international students with a structured academic pathway towards the BSc (Hons) Nursing (Mental Health) degree. The programme is designed to strengthen foundational knowledge in health and life sciences and prepare students for undergraduate study in professional mental health nursing. Students develop essential academic skills, including research, academic writing, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and independent learning. The programme also familiarises students with UK higher education teaching, learning and assessment methods. Through structured academic support, students can build confidence and develop the skills needed for progression to professional nursing education.
