专业介绍

Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. In the international foundation year, students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into students' intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Business & Social Sciences will familiarize students with a wide area of study. They will develop their critical thinking skills, creativity, analytical and team working skills, providing them with the most crucial skills required as a successful graduate.

The only way to join the profession of prosthetics and orthotics in the UK is by graduating with an Honours degree in prosthetics and orthotics, which is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council. Strathclyde's BSc (Hons) programme, within the Department of Biomedical Engineering, is one of only two such approved degrees in the UK.

Strathclyde offers the only four-year prosthetics and orthotics degree in the UK – the only course in the UK with Category 1 accreditation from the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics.
