4-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science and Engineering - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Microbiology

专业介绍

If students have finished high school but don’t meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree.

It’ll all start with students getting to know their way around a lab – picking up all the techniques, tests and applications a future employer could wish for. Then NTU will replicate workplace-like experiences for students, whatever area of microbiology students are interested in – medical research, biotechnology, food safety, infection diagnostics or communicating science.

In Year Three students can take a work placement to put their knowledge into practice. Students will get a Diploma in Professional Practice which strengthens their employability after graduation. Many students impress their employers on placement and are offered jobs at the end of their course. Taught by internationally-renowned experts, students will learn about the microorganisms associated with global health issues such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), tuberculosis (TB) and influenza, paying particular attention to microbes of medical importance.
