专业介绍

Program Description

For students who've finished high school but don’t meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree. After completing this pathway option students qualify for progression to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at the University of York.

Students taking a course longer than 2 terms, will take additional modules designed to improve one or more of their English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Physics with Astrophysics With a Year Abroad

Astrophysicists look to the skies to discover more about the nature of the Universe.

From the nuclear reactions that power the sun to the mysteries of dark matter, students will study the great challenges of cosmology in topics aligned with York's active research.

To explore the cosmos students will need grounding in many disciplines of physics, from optics to electromagnetism, quantum physics to classical mechanics. They'll gain foundational understanding of fundamental physics, scientific principles and methods. Students will learn key skills for analysing real-life problems, write scientific reports to industry standards, communicate complex concepts, and design and solve complex astronomical puzzles.

Gain unique global experiences spending a year at one of York's partner universities. Students can boost their confidence by immersing themselves in a different culture and gain valuable language skills for their CV.
