专业介绍

The Automotive Engine Performance Specialist certificate/degree prepares students to apply technical knowledge related to service, diagnosis and repair of Engine Performance and Emission Control systems found on modern automobiles. Emphasis placed on fuel injection, ignition, emission, and computer control systems. Preparation for state smog test certification is covered.

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

• Demonstrate personal and shop safety procedures needed to safely work in an automotive shop environment.
• Diagnose, service and repair common fuel injection and ignition systems found on modern automobiles.
• Diagnose, service and repair computer control systems found on modern automobiles.
• Diagnose, service and repair various emission control systems found on modern automobiles.
