Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence

专业介绍

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Cardiff Metropolitan University offers a structured route from core computing principles to advanced AI applications. The program guides students through a supportive learning journey designed to build knowledge and confidence as they progress.

Course Progression

• Initial Stages: From the first year, students develop a strong foundation in programming, computational thinking, computer systems, and data analysis. This includes early, hands-on experience with artificial intelligence using Python.
• Intermediate Study: As students move through the course, they deepen their knowledge through specialized study in object-oriented system design, intelligent systems, and key AI concepts.
• Advanced Applications: In the later stages, students undertake a substantial individual development project in an area of their interest. They also study emerging topics such as generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and multi-agent systems.

Learning Approach

Throughout the programme, there is a heavy emphasis on learning by doing and real-world application. The curriculum integrates ethical and sustainability considerations to ensure graduates are prepared for a career in computer science and AI or for further academic study in this rapidly evolving field.
