Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Leeds Beckett University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge in business, economics and mathematics, as well as the English language skills necessary for success in an undergraduate program at Leeds Beckett University. Once a student completes this course they will be suitable for progression options in areas such as business, law, marketing and public relations

After completing this pathway, students will transition to the BSc - Computer Science program. Develop the skills to prepare you for a career working with new and future technologies. There is a strong demand for computer science graduates and this course will equip you with the knowledge and expertise to fill this skills gap. The Government have committed to developing a skilled workforce in the influential STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects. This course aligns with the key themes of these subject areas and will provide students with the skills to solve computer programming problems in a range of industries. Students will develop an understanding of how computer systems work, the problems that can arise and the implications of what companies are developing. The course will enhance your teamworking and project management abilities, while honing your expertise in emerging technologies.
