The University Foundation Pathway is Stage 1 of the undergraduate pathway. The transition from high school to university is a big step, perhaps the most important. Staff at ARU College understand this, and will provide students with ongoing guidance, support, and the knowledge and skills they need. It is this partnership between the students and the staff that will make this transition a smooth one.

This is a 2 trimester course, which means that an undergraduate degree will take 4 years to complete. During Stage 1 students will complete a range of modules relevant to their chosen degree, as well as modules concentrating on the skills that are vital for University level education such as Critical Thinking. Stage 1 will be the first stage in the 4 stage process. Meaning that on successful completion of stage 1 students will seamlessly progress to stage 2, which is the first year of a bachelor’s degree.

ARUC's Pathway in Business begins by helping students understand the basics needed in any business industry and a variety of intercultural situations. The Business School has many opportunities to begin implementing their ideas, even before they graduate with many industry contacts and ARU’s Big Pitch business idea competition.

Students can master the science of economics while gaining added business know-how, on ARU's combined BSc (Hons) Business with Economics degree in Cambridge. They'll have the chance to take economics out of the classroom, debating big ideas such as the minimum wage, capitalism and Brexit in the University's popular Economics in the Pub sessions.
