The 2-Semester Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Engineering and Physical Sciences is a one-year programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to Loughborough University. This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the university.

The International Foundation Programme is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The two semester programme lasts one academic year [nine months]. Each semester includes, on average, 13 teaching weeks, one reading week and one assessment week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately if they need additional support to develop their English language. They will be assessed at regular intervals throughout the programme to ensure they are making the progress required to successfully complete the programme. Full assessment of the programme will take place in the final semester. Assessment methodologies are aligned to those that will be experienced in the University environment, and include project work, essays, and presentations.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Mathematics and Accounting and Financial Management course is equally divided between maths and accounting, providing the ideal platform for those who want to build a career in corporate finance. The course is designed for students who wish to gain knowledge of corporate finance, accounting and financial management as well as the powerful mathematical tools used in the financial and business sector. The problem-solving skills which are strongly developed in the mathematics section and the accounting skills that will also be acquired make graduates highly attractive to a wide range of employers. This course is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
