The 2-Semester Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Engineering and Physical Sciences is a one-year programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to Loughborough University. This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the university.

The International Foundation Programme is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The two semester programme lasts one academic year [nine months]. Each semester includes, on average, 13 teaching weeks, one reading week and one assessment week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately if they need additional support to develop their English language. They will be assessed at regular intervals throughout the programme to ensure they are making the progress required to successfully complete the programme. Full assessment of the programme will take place in the final semester. Assessment methodologies are aligned to those that will be experienced in the University environment, and include project work, essays, and presentations.

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Engineering Management:

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Engineering Management is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). It is concerned with the management of engineering within a business context and considers the problem solving of engineering, blended with planning, management and organisational elements of companies, taking projects from idea to delivery.

The Engineering Management course provides graduates with an understanding of basic engineering sciences and manufacturing processes. This allows the development of a solid foundation in engineering and technology vocabulary and understanding.
