Program Description

Discover the vital role economics plays in shaping policy in companies, institutions and governments. This course will give students solid knowledge of economics and a rigorous understanding of the quantitative methods economists use in their analyses. It will also enable them to apply economic principles to a wide variety of contemporary problems and use their quantitative skills in numerous professional situations when they graduate. The opportunity to study abroad or spend a year in industry will give students valuable experience and enhance their career prospects.

HIC offers University First Year studies for candidates who do not meet the direct entry criteria or hold high school qualifications that are not recognised. Upon successful completion of the pathway programme students will progress onto the second year of their University of Hertfordshire progression degree.
