In an increasingly globalised world, business operations now extend beyond national boundaries, with decisions about where goods are produced and services delivered shaped by global economic forces. This course examines what these changes mean for the modern business environment. Economics forms a core component of the programme, covering both microeconomics and macroeconomics, while extending beyond a standalone economics degree to analyse the wider external factors influencing global business, including globalisation and applied policy.

The course also draws on International Relations, which examines how states and other actors interact politically, economically, and culturally. Key themes include trade relations, conflict and cooperation, and the growing importance of non-state actors in global affairs. Together, these disciplines provide students with the tools to understand complex global interrelationships.

By combining academic theory with practical application, the programme helps students develop transferable skills relevant to global policy, international trade, and business strategy.
