专业介绍

Program Description

Philosophy goes well with every subject, for the simple reason that it touches on every subject, inquiring into its nature, methods, and boundaries. Also, some aspects of philosophy – e.g. the theory of knowledge – are relevant to every subject. Students will take half of their modules in Philosophy, and the other half in the other subject. Popular subjects to take with Philosophy include Politics, English Literature, Law, English and Business Studies.

In Year One students take two compulsory modules Foundations in Politics and Foundations in International Politics, as well as two optional modules focused on British Politics, Comparative Politics, or Study Skills. In Years Two and Three there are a wide choice of optional modules, including the option of a Dissertation in Year Three, giving students the chance to complete a sustained, original piece of work on a topic of their choice.
