专业介绍

Master of Science in Industrial Engineering is intended for professionals who are interested in managing and analyzing complex systems, formulating models of these systems, and solving them with the intention of improving system and business performance. The program focuses on information-driven decision-making and a broad-based systems perspective, centering on enterprise performance, quality, efficiency and productivity enhancement activities.

Students will be able to enhance the skills of degreed engineers by providing advanced knowledge and skills that are needed to design, model, analyze and manage modern complex systems in order to increase the effectiveness of manufacturing and service sector organizations.

Learning outcomes:

• Learn to solve problems arising in virtually any setting where outcomes are influenced by key technical decisions.
• Provide students with the skills needed to develop a systems view, identify and characterize the associated data, and then create advanced mathematical models to prescribe optimal solutions.
• Support the manufacturing, distribution and supply chain industries, as well as the diverse service industries in the region and throughout the nation.
