专业介绍

The BA (Hons) Business Management, Supply Chain and Logistics with Placement Year prepares graduates for success in a rapidly evolving global business environment shaped by e-commerce growth, Brexit and increasingly complex international supply chains. Logistics and supply chain skills are now in high demand, and this degree is designed to address those challenges by combining strong business management foundations with specialist knowledge in supply chain and logistics.

The programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), enabling students to gain a professionally recognised qualification alongside their degree and take a significant step towards Chartered Manager status. Teaching is practical and industry-focused, with regular engagement with employers through work placements, internships, consultancy projects and field trips. Academic staff bring cutting-edge research into areas such as lean-green logistics, artificial intelligence and sustainable business directly into the curriculum, ensuring learning remains current and relevant.

The course provides a solid grounding in core business disciplines including economics, finance, human resources and marketing, before developing deeper expertise in supply chain and logistics from the second year. Key topics include asset management and value creation, sustainable supply chains, and the principles and practices of international supply chain management. Graduates emerge well prepared for careers in a sector undergoing significant expansion.

As one of the few degrees in the UK to offer the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership alongside the undergraduate qualification, the programme allows students to achieve this benchmark award without additional workload, through integrated assessments. Students also receive affiliate membership of the CMI during their studies, gaining access to professional networks, events and resources that further enhance employability and career progression.
