Bachelor of Science (Honours) - International Business Management (Placement Year)

专业介绍

Globalisation has created significant career opportunities for individuals who understand business from an international, cross-cultural perspective. The BSc (Hons) International Business Management degree at the University of Derby has been designed to equip students to take full advantage of these opportunities.

The programme encourages broad thinking and provides the chance to study a diverse range of subjects, including business management, economics, accounting and finance, marketing, human resource management (HRM), logistics, enterprise, IT, and technology. These skills are applied in a real-world context through a placement between the second and third year of study.

Recent global events, such as Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, and the 2008-2009 global economic and financial crisis, have highlighted the importance of understanding economic and business challenges. These events demonstrate the need to analyse the causes, impacts, and potential solutions to complex business and economic problems.

The degree includes the opportunity for a placement year, allowing students to apply acquired skills in a professional environment. Support is provided throughout the placement to ensure students gain valuable practical experience, establish industry contacts, and clarify their career interests, enhancing employability upon graduation.
